In Armagetron Advanced, you ride a bizarre vehicle that can never stop and leaves a deadly trail behind. In the most basic game mode, you can only make sudden right angle turns and are trapped with others in an inescapable arena. The last survivor wins. Focus is firmly on online play. Pick a server that sounds fun from the server browser, hop in, stay and play there for as long as you like with the same people. Online, you will find many variations of the core gameplay principle. There are other objectives than mere survival. In Fortress Mode, two teams face each other. Each team owns a Fortress Zone and needs to defend it while trying to conquer the enemy teams' Fortress. In Sumo Mode, everyone needs to stay inside a shrinking circle to stay alive. The game supports custom maps (sadly without an editor) and just about every gameplay variable can be tweaked to your, or more likely, the server owner's heart content. Speed, map size, trail length and timeouts are just the start. Even the rigid right angle turn rule can be bent!

As chief artificer Larry Lodestone, your goal is to make your way through the intricate designs of The Artifact. Your goal is to shut down the core, which has gone haywire. However, the way in is filled with obstacles, as weird orbs spawned by the malfunctioning core are disrupting and reconstructing the matrix of The Artifact. Before you can reach the core, these orbs must be isolated to prevent further damage. In Artifact, your goal is to make your way through 40 levels of mayhem without getting destroyed, racking up as many points as possible on the way. Each level consists of a screen filled with a variety of different orbs. These orbs must be isolated by the player. Once 75% of the playing field has been isolated, the level ends, and the player moves on to the score and powerup allocation screen. The player controls the dual-direction Welding Blaster that can be rotated to fire vertically or horizontally. When fired, a welding beam will slowly traverse the screen in 2 directions. Once both ends reach a wall, the playing field will be cut, isolating balls on each side of the beam. However, care must be taken not to hit the orbs, as they will create a feedback surge, damaging the Welding Blaster. Once the Welding Blaster reaches critical damage, it will explode, and the game will be over. For every level a number of new orbs will be added to the game. These can be of any type depending on the level. Early levels will not include any of the most challenging orbs and vice versa. Orbs carry over from every level. This means that as the game progresses, there will be more and more orbs present. To counter this, the player may use the Annihilator Shield to get rid of some of the orbs.

Cliniface undertakes the visualisation, measurement, analysis, identification, and reporting of phenotypic traits from 3D facial images. These traits, known as Human Phenotype Ontology terms (or HPO terms), can then be used in concert with other phenotypic traits about a subject (e.g., behavoural or cognitive traits) to assist in diagnosing rare and genetic diseases. Cliniface works by fitting facial landmarks to the 3D model of a face and then taking spatial measurements using the landmarks to demarcate regions of interest. The extracted measurements are then compared to existing statistics from the research literature describing how these measurements are expected to change with age for different demographic cohorts. If measurements are found to fall outside of the expected range, this may indicate the presence of certain facial traits of clinical significance. Cliniface accepts 3D files in a variety of standard formats, and its analysis is saved into the 3DF file format which embeds metadata and analytic results as structured plain text alongside the original model data saved in Wavefront OBJ format. Analysis data can also be exported in XML and JSON formats to allow users to undertake further analysis outside of Cliniface.

Dhewm 3 is a source port of the original Doom 3 (not Doom 3 BFG, for that you may want to try RBDoom3BFG). It's known to work on Windows, Linux, macOS, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and AROS, but it should work on (or be easily portable to) any system that supports OpenGL 1.4 with ARB shaders, SDL and OpenAL. Compared to the original version of Doom 3, Dhewm 3 has many bugfixes, supports EAX-like sound effects on all operating systems and hardware (via OpenAL Softs EFX support), has much better support for widescreen resolutions and has 64bit support. It only supports old Mods if they either don't require their own game DLL or have been ported to Dhewm 3 - see the Mods page for more information. Mod-binaries who are supported, are bundled with Dhewm 3. External data is still required. Note that while the Doom 3 source code has been released under GPL, you still need to legally own the game and provide Dhewm 3 the game data to play. See the How to Install section for more information.

OpenSCAD is a software for creating solid 3D CAD models. Unlike most free software for creating 3D models (such as Blender) it does not focus on the artistic aspects of 3D modelling but instead on the CAD aspects. Subsurface is an opensource diving logbook that runs on Linux, Windows and Mac. With this program, users can keep track of their dives by logging dive locations (with GPS coordinates), weights and exposure protection used, divemasters and dive buddies, etc. Subsurface also enables the users to rate their dives and provide additional dive notes. Dives can be downloaded from a variety of dive computers, inserted manually or imported from other programs. A wide array of diving statistics and information is calculated and displayed, like the user’s SAC rate, partial pressures of O2, N2 and He, calculated deco information, and many more. The dive profiles (and the tank pressure curves) can be visualized in a comprehensive and clean way, that provides the user with additional information on relative velocity (and momentary air consumption) during the dive. Subsurface also allows the user to print out a detailed log book that includes dive profiles and other relevant information. The program is localized in about 20 languages and well supported by an active developer community.

Thus we aim mostly for bug fixes, stability and gentle enhancements were appropriate. Yamagi Quake II has a lot of unique features. The most notables ones are: A modern OpenGL 3.2 renderer, providing a greatly enhanced look and feel. The original OpenGL 1.4 and even the Software renderers are still supported. For example, on a flat panel display with a 59.95 hertz refresh rate and vertical synchronisation (VSync) enabled Yamagi Quake II is running at exactly 59.95 frames per second. In comparison with the original client over 1.500 bugs were fixed. The Yamagi Quake II client is very well tested and stable. The dedicated server is able to run for weeks without a single restart. Last but not least the code is fully 64 bit clean and highly portable. Commercial data files are required to run the supported game. These can be aquired though a multitude of sources. HTMLDOC is a program that reads HTML and Markdown source files or web pages and converts these into corresponding EPUB, HTML, PostScript, or PDF files with optional tables of contents. HTMLDOC was developed in the 1990's as a documentation generator for my previous company, and has since seen a lot of usage as a report generator embedded in web servers. However, it does not support many things in "the modern web", such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), PDF Encryption (other than 128-bit RC4), PDF forms, complex HTML tables (other than HTML-3.2), Unicode with right-to-left text formatting, Emoji. HTMLDOC can run from the command line (CLI) as well as with a graphical user interface (GUI). It also supports operation as a CGI program for a web server to provide PDF-formatted output from a web page. The GUI starts automatically if you run HTMLDOC without any options. Since support for Markdown input and EPUB output is still under development, both options are not available from the GUI, but only from the CLI.

lux is a viewer for 'ordinary' images, panoramas and panorama specifications in PTO format, made by, e.g., hugin. The view can be zoomed, panned, rotated, made brighter/darker etc. It supports a wide range of image formats, like JPG, PNG, TIFF and openEXR - image I/O is done with libvigraimpex. lux supports 'flat' and rectilinear images and several panoramic projections: spherical, cylindrical, stereographic, and fisheye, both for the source image and the view. For images made with a camera or smartphone which have appropriate metadata, lux will show a perspective-corrected view. lux can also stitch panoramas, and fuse or HDR-merge exposure brackets specified in a PTO file made with, e.g., hugin. It can not do image registration. Many PTO features are supported, including panoramas with stacks. lux provides it's own implementation of the Burt&Adelson image splining algorithm for seamless stitching and exposure fusion, working directly from the source image set with no intermediate images. What's seen on-screen can be exported as a 'snapshot'. lux is also good for slide shows, especially when the image set is a mixed bunch, containing normal images and panoramas. Panoramas are recognized by their metadata, so they are displayed correctly, and the user does not have to switch between using an image and a panorama viewer. lux is extremely configurable, especially when used from the command line. It provides it's own type of script file, which is similar to ini files, with simple key=value syntax. You can find a listing of the options via the 'help' link.

QPDF is a command-line program that does structural, content-preserving transformations on PDF files. It could have been called something like pdf-to-pdf. It also provides many useful capabilities to developers of PDF-producing software or for people who just want to look at the innards of a PDF file to learn more about how they work. QPDF is capable of creating linearized (also known as web-optimized) files and encrypted files. It is also capable of converting PDF files with object streams (also known as compressed objects) to files with no compressed objects or to generate object streams from files that don't have them (or even those that already do). QPDF also supports a special mode designed to allow you to edit the content of PDF files in a text editor. For more details, please see the documentation links below. QPDF includes support for merging and splitting PDFs through the ability to copy objects from one PDF file into another and to manipulate the list of pages in a PDF file. The QPDF library also makes it possible for you to create PDF files from scratch. In this mode, you are responsible for supplying all the contents of the file, while the QPDF library takes care off all the syntactical representation of the objects, creation of cross references tables and, if you use them, object streams, encryption, linearization, and other syntactic details. QPDF is not a PDF content creation library, a PDF viewer, or a program capable of converting PDF into other formats. In particular, QPDF knows nothing about the semantics of PDF content streams. If you are looking for something that can do that, you should look elsewhere. However, once you have a valid PDF file, QPDF can be used to transform that file in ways perhaps your original PDF creation can't handle. For example, programs generate simple PDF files but can't password-protect them, web-optimize them, or perform other transformations of that type.
